Coventry Cocker Spaniel Club was formed in 1951 so celebrates it's 70th anniversary in 2021.
The Society holds 2 open shows each year and in addition a championship show every other year. The shows are all open to members and non members
Coventry Cocker shows are popular, the open shows are usually held at Baginton on the outskirts of Coventry near the airport and the championship shows at The Arena, The Sports Connexion, Ryton-on-Dunsmore.
The open shows are friendly affairs with homemade refreshments and a wide variety of classes for all ages and colours of Cocker Spaniels. There is also a ‘Puppy Walk’ for 4-6month old puppies which gives them a first taste of the show world.

We have introduced 'Special Awards' classes at our open shows. These are held at the beginning of the show with a different judge. Placings in these classes do not affect the show proper. We hope to choose judges from the Breed Council 'C' List as these people will have attended seminars and judged some classes already so your dogs will be in safe hands!

The Championship shows are ‘benched’ which means that each dog has his own space and the show layout is tidy and convenient. The classes include classes for all colours and the standard Crufts’ qualifying classes. Entries can be made online or by post.
Coventry Cocker Spaniel Club always welcomes new members and exhibitors to the shows. The shows are also a meeting place for people who do not show so much now and would like to enjoy a day out among friends surrounded by their favourite breed of dog.
The club is involved in organising the Cocker Spaniel stand for The Cocker Spaniel Club at Discover Dogs which is part of Crufts’, Discover Dogs at Earl’s Court and The National Pet Show. Committee, members and friends bring their dogs to promote the breed to the general public.
